Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are an agreement between you and Fifth Mind LLC covering your use of Maxidomo — the web app at app.maxidomo.com, the iPhone app, the API, and the Maxidomo connector for AI assistants. Using Maxidomo means accepting them.
What Maxidomo is
Maxidomo keeps the record of a property — what was done, when, by whom, what it cost, where the paperwork is — and lets you ask questions about it in plain language.
Your account
You need an account and you are responsible for what happens under it. Use a real email address you control, do not share your sign-in, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You must be at least 18.
What it costs
Maxidomo is free at the moment. There is no charge and no billing. If that changes we will tell you before it affects you, and you will be able to decline and stop using it.
Your record is yours
You keep ownership of everything you put into Maxidomo — your documents, photographs, notes and your property’s history. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store it, process it, show it to the people you have given access to, and pass it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy so that the service can function.
You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to, and do not upload other people’s personal information beyond what a property record reasonably needs.
Sharing a property
Inviting someone to a property gives them access to that property’s record. Any current member of a property can read the documents filed against it, not only its owners. Consider that before you invite someone, and remove people when they no longer need access.
Access codes are treated more carefully — they are revealed one at a time through a single-use link, and only to people you have permitted.
Text messages
Maxidomo can text you when something is marked urgent on a property you own. It is off unless you turn it on.
Adding a phone number and agreeing to be texted at it are two separate steps; we store the words you agreed to and when. By adding a number you confirm it is yours, and that you are allowed to receive messages at it. Phone numbers get reassigned — if you give this one up, remove it from your account, because whoever gets it next will receive what we send.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for messages you receive, depending on your plan. Maxidomo does not charge you for them.
Reply STOP to any message and Maxidomo stops texting that number immediately. Reply HELP for help.
We cannot promise a message arrives. Delivery depends on your carrier and on networks we do not control, and carriers are not liable to you for a message that is delayed or never delivered. Do not rely on a text as your only warning about anything that matters.
The assistant can be wrong
Maxidomo’s answers are produced by AI models. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Maxidomo may misread a document, record a fact incorrectly, or state something confidently that is not true.
Nothing Maxidomo tells you is professional advice. It is not legal, tax, financial, insurance, structural or contracting advice. Do not rely on it for a decision that matters without checking it. Anything Maxidomo reads out of a document — a figure, a date, a parcel number, an amount owed — should be confirmed against the document itself before you act on it.
You remain responsible for your property, your obligations and your decisions.
Acceptable use
Do not use Maxidomo to:
- break the law, or store or distribute anything unlawful
- harass anyone
- reach a property record you were not given access to
- probe, overload or disrupt the service
- scrape it automatically, or resell it as your own service
We may suspend or close an account that does.
Limits and availability
We apply limits to what an account can do — how many properties you can create, how many questions can be asked in a day, how many documents can be read. They exist because the underlying services cost money, and we may adjust them.
Maxidomo runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves. We do not promise it will be available, and there is no uptime commitment. It may be down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Maxidomo whenever you like and ask us to delete your account — the Privacy Policy explains how. We may close an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service; where we can, we will give reasonable notice and a chance to export your record.
No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you
Maxidomo is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for lost profits, or for lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars — which reflects that Maxidomo is currently free.
Some states do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply only as far as that state permits.
Changes, law, and how to reach us
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you about material changes. Continuing to use Maxidomo after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute goes to the courts located there.
